Finland’s Minister of Defence Häkkänen to attend meeting of Ukraine Defence Contact Group

The Ukraine Defence Contact Group (UDCG), coordinating materiel support for Ukraine, held a video conference on Wednesday 15 April 2026.

The participants will address the situation in Ukraine and coordinate the materiel and training support to be provided to Ukraine.

“We will discuss the current situation in Ukraine and ways to strengthen our support. Finland will continue to support Ukraine bilaterally and through various formations of cooperation,” Minister Antti Häkkänen said.

The Ukraine Defence Contact Group is a coalition of around 50 countries that coordinates the delivery of materiel support to Ukraine. UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey and German Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius will chair the meeting. Ukrainian Minister of Defence Myhailo Fedorov will outline the situation in Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will also attend.
