Minister of Defence Kaikkonen visited Sweden

Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen visited Sweden on 2 March 2022. The visit was hosted by Peter Hultqvist, Sweden’s Minister for Defence.

The Defence Ministers held bilateral discussions on the current security situation and cooperation between Finland and Sweden.

The Ministers visited the maritime joint exercise between Finland and Sweden. The aim of the exercise is to test and develop Finland's and Sweden's common situational picture as well as the interoperability of the Navy and Air Force. The joint exercise is part of the normal exercises of the Finnish and Swedish Defence Forces.
