NORDEFCO ministerial meeting in Reykjavik

Director General, MoD, Janne Kuusela is representing the Defence Minister at a ministerial meeting on Nordic Defence Cooperation (NORDEFCO) in Reykjavik on 20 to 21 June. 

At the upcoming meeting, the long-term development of Nordic defence cooperation will be discussed. The worsening security situation in Europe and the decision of Finland and Sweden to join NATO has paved the way for closer Nordic defence cooperation. Current NATO matters and the security situation in the neighbouring areas will also be on the agenda.
