Development of conscription service
On 5 March 2020, the Government appointed a parliamentary committee to examine the development of general conscription and the fulfilment of national defence obligations. The Committee submitted its report on 26 November 2021, proposing extension of the call-up system to the entire age group.

Defence Policy Reports
The Ministry of Defence has launched the preparation of a new Government’s Defence Report, in accordance with the Government Programme’s objectives. The Defence Report is expected to be submitted to Parliament during 2024.
