Minister of Defence Savola to visit Oslo
Minister of Defence Mikko Savola will make a working visit to Oslo on 6 February 2023. There, Minister Savola will attend the high-level Leangkollen Security Conference, where he will take part in a panel discussion on Ukraine and the security situation in Europe. In addition to Minister Savola, the panellists will include Swedish Minister of Defence Pål Jonson and Deputy Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoană.
While in Oslo, Minister Savola will also have a bilateral meeting with State Secretary Anne Marie Aanerud from the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Minister of Defence Savola and State Secretary Aanerud will discuss the security situation in the neighbouring regions, Finland’s accession to NATO, and bilateral defence cooperation between Finland and Norway.
