Nordic defence ministers to meet in Helsinki
Nordic defence ministers will meet in Helsinki on 13 March 2025.
The meeting will be hosted by Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen. Finland chairs the Nordic Defence Cooperation (NORDEFCO) in 2025. In the rotating system, Finland took over the chair from Denmark.
In their third meeting of the year, the defence ministers will discuss the current security situation and support for Ukraine.
“I invited the Nordic defence ministers to Helsinki to plan ways to strengthen defence in the Nordic region and to continue our support for Ukraine. The next few weeks will be crucial for Ukraine and for European security,” Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen said.
