MATINE’s research 

MATINE’s primary objective is to conduct research supporting military national defence, which encompasses support for all statutory duties of the Defence Forces. The main clients for the research funded by MATINE are the Defence Forces and the Defence Administration as a whole.

Research that can support other security authorities or actors as well is considered a benefit. Within the framework of security research, the research aims to promote the comprehensive security of society and the cooperation of authorities including all areas covered by the Security Strategy for Society. Another client group is formed by the security operators of society that cooperate with the Defence Administration in the field of comprehensive security.

The complex operating environment can be understood and anticipated through extensive expertise and multidisciplinary research. Research plays an important role in the planning of preparedness and the management of disturbances. Research promoted by MATINE either directly supports authorities or other actors and their cooperation, or indirectly promotes military national defence and comprehensive security through products and services created on the basis of the research.
