Minister of Defence Kaikkonen to attend Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting
Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen will take part in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting that will be held in Brussels on 15 June 2023. Chief of Defence Timo Kivinen will also attend the meeting. The participants will address the situation in Ukraine and the assistance provided to the country.
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group is a group of over 50 countries that, led by the United States, is coordinating the delivery of armed assistance to Ukraine.
In connection with the meeting, Minister of Defence Kaikkonen will have a bilateral meeting with Britain’s Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace. The ministers are to discuss support fo Ukraine and current NATO matters.
