Latvia's Minister of Defence to visit Finland
Latvian Minister of Defence Raimonds Bergmanis will visit Finland on 3 November. The visit will be hosted by Minister of Defence Jussi Niinistö.
The topics of discussion during the Ministers? meeting will include the security situation in the neighbouring regions and defence cooperation between the two countries. The Ministers will also discuss the Finnish conscription system and the grounds of the Finnish defence system.
At the beginning of next week Defence Minister Bergmanis will participate in a working session which will bring the defence ministers of the other Nordic countries, the Baltic States and the Northern Group to Helsinki.
