United States Secretary of the Navy to visit Finland
United States Secretary of the Navy Mr. Ray Mabus is to visit Finland 10 June 2014. He will visit the Ministry of Defence of Finland, hosted by Minister of Defence Carl Haglund. He will also visit the Finnish Navy, hosted by Commander of the Finnish Navy, Rear Admiral Kari Takanen.
The purpose of the Secretary?s visit is to learn more about the mission, roles and capabilities of the Finnish Navy. Existing bilateral naval cooperation as well as observing Finland?s approach to naval operations are also on the agenda.
