Finland to contribute EUR 30 million to Czech ammunition initiative
An additional EUR 30 million of funding will be allocated to the administrative branch of the Ministry of Defence in the Government’s first supplementary budget for 2024.
Finland will use this funding to contribute to the initiative launched by Czechia in February 2024 for a joint purchase of ammunition for Ukraine.
“In addition to packages of materiel support, Finland is supporting Ukraine in other ways, as well. The joint purchase of ammunition being coordinated by Czechia is vital to address Ukraine’s acute shortage of ammunition as it fights to defend itself,” said Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen.
