Defence Forces to procure 120 mm shell-tailed compositions for grenade launchers
Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen has authorised the Defence Forces' Logistics Command to procure 120 mm shell-tailed compositions for grenade launchers from Componenta Corporation.
- The procurement will increase readiness in the Defence Forces and maintain military security of supply by improving the domestic production capacity of munitions, says Minister Häkkänen.
The procurement will secure ammunition for training and readiness purposes in 2025-2028. The value of the procurement, without value added tax, is approximately EUR 50 million, including an option of approximately EUR 9 million for 2028. The domestic employment impact, including the option, is estimated to be around 210 person-years.
